All about Bristol Airport

Located around eight miles from Bristol, the airport is built on the site of a former RAF airfield and opened its runways for the first time in 1957. Originally known as Bristol (Lulgate), it changed to Bristol International from 1997 – 2010, before settling on its current name. It’s the UK’s 9th busiest airport and hosts airlines such as easyJet, Ryanair and BMI Regional. The popular airport has seen impressive rises in passenger numbers from 1,614,837 in 1997 to 7,603,890 in 2016. Amsterdam is the busiest destination, followed by Dublin and Edinburgh.

Getting There

Bristol Airport parking products offered by APH are either on-airport, meet and greet or just a five-minute transfer from the terminal. Simply select your parking product, enter the postcode and you’ll be heading for the check-in desks within minutes.

Directions

Bristol Airport is easily accessed from the M4 and M5. On the M5, take junction 22 when heading North and junction 18 when heading South. On the M4, take junction 20 onto the M5 and take junction 18. Choose the post code BS48 3DY when using satnav.

On Arrival

Simply Park & Fly Ltd does not take vehicles from any airport, instead the service provider (see below) looks after the vehicle, while parked in their secured car park compound. You need to follow the instructions below for Park and Ride/ Meet and Greet service on your departure and return day. All the instruction (telephone number as well) will be sent to your email account once the booking is made​. NOTE: It’s illegal to use phone while driving. It is the responsibilty of the driver/customer to follow the UK Driving and transport LAW and stop at a safer place to make or take a call.​

  • This car park uses vehicle registration recognition system to allow entry and exit.
  • Please ensure we have the correct registration recorded on your booking.
  • Designated spaces are available. A help button is also available at the entry and exit barriers.

Directions:

  • From the A38 follow signs for Bristol Airport. As you enter the airport, at the 1st roundabout take the 3rd exit into the Long Stay Car Park.
  • On arrival at the car park the barrier system will read the vehicle registration, issue a ticketand allow entry.
  • Please keep the ticket safe as it is required to exit the car park. 

On Return

  • If your vehicle registration is not recognised the ticket will have NOT PREPAID printed on it.
  • On return take this ticket to the Customer Service Kiosk, located at the Long Stay Car Park exit barrier.
  • Present the ticket together with your parking confirmation. Staff will validate the ticket to allow exit from the car park.
  • Drive the the exit barrier and insert the ticket issued on arrival. The barrier will rise and allow exit.
  • The customer can amend a Flexible booking 48hrs before the departure day. No return date will be modified once the vehicle has been dropped off with the service provider. If the customer stays longer than pre-booked days, then he/she will incur an additional charge as per the standard tariff for the carpark. The customer will be prompted for an extra payment at the exit barrier in case of Park and Ride / On Airport Parking and will be need to pay using the Chip & Pin device. In case of Meet and Greet, the customer will be charged by the driver on the return day.

"On this occasion, a little frustrating as the ANPR did not recognise my vehicle, meaning that I had to take a separate ticket to enter the car park and then pick up the "correction" admin later."
